About the Practice Team
We are fortunate at Woodlands Health Centre to offer patients:
• A full range of Practice Staff who are based full time at the surgery, and
• An extensive Healthcare Team of medical practitioners who offer services through the surgery
Through our Practice Staff and Healthcare Team we can offer patients clinics, NHS Services and non-NHS Services not available at many GP surgeries.
At Woodlands Health Centre our GPs know that good healthcare works best through a doctor-patient partnership of openness, trust and good communication.
All our GPs are registered with the General Medical Council and have many years of experience. They are happy to discuss any aspect of your healthcare needs.
The practice nurses at Woodlands Health Centre offer advice about all aspects of your healthcare. They also provide travel vaccines, smear tests, health checks, and over-75 checks.
To book an appointment to see a Practice Nurse please phone during the surgery's open hours. Alternatively visit the surgery between 8:00am & 10:00am Monday to Friday and check in at reception for a drop-in appointment. The practice pharmacist Monsurat Fashola is here to help with any issues regarding medication. She is able to help with the management of chronic diseases such as asthma, COPD, diabetes etc as well as acute ailments. Appointments to the pharmacist are available Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

At Woodlands we have a dedicated team of receptionists with many years of experience of helping patients to access good healthcare. They help to ensure you get the best appointment and can help if you need to change or cancel your booking.
The healthcare team at Woodlands can provide help and advice on a wide range of health issues. Our team includes:
• Health Visitors
• District Nurses
Our District Nurses are able to provide care to patients who have health conditions that restricts them to their home.
Health visitors are no longer availble at Woodlands. To find out where the nearest Health Visitors are please ask at reception.
Our Midwives work in partnership with our GPs to care for women throughout their pregnancy and after they have given birth. Woodlands Health Centre offers Ante-Natal and Post-Natal clinics on Tuesdays.
Care at home
Please tell the GP, Nurse or receptionist at Woodlands if you would like the District Nurse or a GP to make a Home Visit.
Our Counsellors are trained to offer a range of self-help services in the community to patients or their family members who may have mild or moderate forms of anxiety and depression.
